Located in the Bay of Plenty, Independent Inspection Services was established in 1995 to provide a specialist service to insurance companies, equipment owners and finance companies, as a Marine Surveyor and Insurance Assessor.
To date the business has provided the following services:
- Safe Ship Management and Surveying through Survey Nelson Ltd. Survey Nelson Ltd is an accredited survey company.
- Refrigerated cargo claims to establish the cause of the loss and possible recovery
- Assessing and loss adjustment of marine claims including outboards through to large commercial vessels
- Assessing and loss adjustment of earthmoving equipment, road trucks, industrial plant and machinery
- Overseeing repairs and costs for the owner during overhauls
- Engineering inspections of commercial vessels for prospective buyers
